Fake logo and "Greek"-approved brand designs created for Funny or Die's television series Agua Donkeys, a Funny or Die TV show about a couple of kind-but-kinda-dumb recreational kneeboarders and part-time pool cleaners.
Created with PHOTOSHOP and ILLUSTRATOR, signs were hand-painted.

Dolphie's is a reoccuring and important location in Agua Donkeys. Here, you can see my process of creating the logo. The director wanted the logo to be cartoony and a bit silly, to humorously contrast with the owner's gruff appearance. The first mock-up was based on a rough sketch that the Art Producer drew on scrap paper while we were brainstorming. The goofy font was approved, but the director asked for a cuter dolphin. I sketched up a few options, all in different cartoon styles. The director chose his favorite and I finalized the design.

Brent's Watersports is the surf and outdoor sport shop in Agua Donkey's that the main characters visit. For this brand I created multiple T-shirt and poster designs as well as logos for their kneeboards. This brand was heavily based on the 90's Memphis Style aesthetic.

The Sleepy Seagull is the motel in Agua Donkeys that the main characters briefly work at before choosing it as their ideal location to attempt their dream synchronized gainers. For this logo, I initially went with a retro chic-inspired look but the director asked me to go for something more in line with 70's/80's brown era. With that in mind, I redesigned the logo, hand-painted a worn sign, and created a brochure prop.

These are other logo designs I contributed to this series. Palms by Donna Mae is the office of a psychic. Ski Schooner is a Greeked boat company. Greeking is the process of hiding corporate or trade-marked labels, either through obscuring or through parody. JLPQ News is the local broadcast and the logo appears briefly on a reporter's microphone.
